How to check the standby on your amp?

HI, i have i little of problem. I need to check is my standby working or not. Problem is that when i turn my standby on light for standby doesn't light up, but when i turn power switch on both LED are lighted up. So basically both LEDs sort of correspond to the power switch. So is there any method to determine does my stand by work or not?
