What is the formula to get the amp?

Hi Adonn, first of all, I don't give out my email address, so I hope you read this answer. Second of all, the 0.07A (otherwise known as 70mA is the charging current for the battery. That is determined by the battery chemistry. the 0.17A (170mA is the current drawn FROM the battery to illuminate the LEDs and is determined by the circuit resistance. The Battery voltage is 4V, and the load current is 0.17A, so the load resistance must be 4 / 0.17 = 23.5 ohms.
